The California Educational Theatre Association, in collaboration
with San Jose State University's Theatre Dept., will be hosting the
Northern California High School Theatre Festival at San Jose State
University on Saturday, Feb. 2nd, 2012 from 8:30 am to 4:15 pm.
The Festival features competitive events including monologues, duet
scenes, group scenes and musical theatre competitions. There will also
be over 20 workshops offered for students including a special strand for
technical theatre students who choose not to compete. Workshops
offerings include: Auditioning, Costuming, Shakespeare, Radio for
Actors, Stage Combat, Stand Up Comedy, Sound, Fantasy Make-up, and many
others taught by SJSU Professors and theatre professionals from
throughout the Bay Area. Registration deadline is Jan. 25th. Please go
